STOVE PROBLEMS

WON’T TURN ON/IGNITE

When an electric stove will not turn on, check that it is plugged in and the circuit breaker is on. For a gas stove check the pilot light. If these are OK, give us a call and schedule a same-day visit. Your problem is likely a broken infinite switch, oven burner igniter, surface element, or bake and broil element. We carry the parts and tools to fix this problem on the spot.

BURNER/OVEN WON’T HEAT

Stoves that do not heat up have a bad terminal block, burner switch, or broken element. Ovens that do not get hot, have a malfunctioning oven sensor or broken bake element. Call us for a same-day service call and we can fix any of these problems in an hour or two at the most.

TIMER/PROGRAM ISSUES

When the electronic programming on your stove does not work, the problem is a bad control board. This usually needs to be replaced. We carry control boards for GE, Sears, LG, Kenmore and other major brands of stoves and ranges. We also provide a warranty on the control boards and any other parts used to fix the electronic programming.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

If your oven gets too hot, call us right away. Aside from the fact that a too-hot oven will burn your dinner, this is a dangerous appliance. Before even thinking of trying to fix it yourself, call us for a same-day service call. This is usually a broken sensor or thermostat. And, we carry the necessary parts and tools to fix your too-hot stove on the spot.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

When a stove igniter will glow but does not light, there is a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter, or temperature sensor. We will diagnose the problem and repair or replace the defective part for any and all major brands and models.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

We train on new models and new technologies to fix problems like this. With some of the brand new self-cleaning ovens, there is a door problem. It will not open after the stove goes through its self-cleaning cycle. We will examine the seal, door latch, and thermostat to identify the problem and then fix it quickly the same day that you call.
